Sunday
I start off Sunday morning with Dia and the dogs asleep. If you are wondering where the second dog came from, check out Week 1 of my Difference in the Family Tree legacy.
And then did some singing of her own. It is new skill day so she quickly reached level 3 in the singing skill.
Dia also decided that she thinks Singing is Great!
Dia also has enough money saved up to buy a bed and nightstand for her bedroom.
Monday
Dia got home from work at 2 am and earned $280. She also had a successful skill day.
Rather go to bed, Dia drank a sleep replacement potion and then got to work on practicing mixology.
She then went around searching for more city posters and snow globes.
Once Dia had collected all the neighborhood had to offer, she came home and spent more time with the dogs.
At the festival, Dia joined the jokesters. She also met Sienna Grove who is the wife of my Postcard Legacy founder.
Dia bought some fireworks from one of the vendor stalls. She played with some sparklers.
She then helped some other artists work on a mural.
Before heading home, Dia posed for a selfie with her finished wall mural.
Tuesday
On Tuesday morning, Dia spent time mixing drinks and working on her mixology skill.
Dia decided that she likes Mixology!
She then spent time with the dogs.
Before going around collecting posters and snow globes.
It is only week 2 of the challenge and Dia is just one snow globe away from completing the entire set.
She is also making great progress on the City Posters with only 3 missing from the collection.
I found a website that told me where to find the protestors each day of the week. On Tuesdays they are in the art distract. Dia headed to the art district to donate money to a protest. She also joined for awhile.
The new art center I downloaded from the gallery has a coffee stand but no one was tending it, so I had Dia do that for a little while. I had hoped she would increase her mixology skill making coffee but no such luck.
Dia left the coffee stand and practiced her singing. She reached level 4 in the singing skill. I am not going to lie, Dia might be one of the worst singers I have ever heard in the sims. Not only are level 4 singers not great to begin with but combine that with her alien voice and I am surprised my ears didn't start to bleed. For some reason other sims seemed to enjoy it as Dia earned several tips and reached level 2 in the entrepreneur skill.
Dia had enough money to add a dinning room table and some chairs to her kitchen. I also added the new curtains from the Modern Lux (or whatever it is called) kit. The blue swatch matches the cushions on the chairs perfectly.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, Dia enjoyed breakfast at her brand new dining room table.
And then did her usual round of collecting posters and snow globes. She didn't find any new snow globes but I believe the William Goes Acoustic poster was one she didn't have already.
When Dia got home, she worked on mixing drinks (not pictured) and reached mixology level 4. Then Jesminder stopped by wanting to hang out.
Dia started a gathering of the Cocktail Hour and the group went to Discothèque Pan Europa in Windenburg.
Dia met a new mixologist (can't remember her name) and invited her to join the Cocktail Hour.
Dia asked Brian if he wanted to join the Cocktail Hour and Brian said he would love to.
Dia decided that dancing was in her bones.
Thursday
On Thursday morning, Dia reached level 5 in the mixology skill. Look at those moves - pouring from three bottles at once.
I was just about to send her out collecting posters/snow globes when I noticed Brian Andrews, the mixologist from last night, hanging out in the hallway. I guess he stopped by to see Dia.
Jesminder also stopped by to give Dia a gift for being such a good friend. YIPPIE!!! We got our very first sim trophy. I find it really fitting too that it is DJ Candy.Dia invited Brian inside. They spent time flirting and she tickled him mercilessly.
Dia gave Brian a back massage.
She made the first move.
She whispered suggestively in his ear.
Before sharing a first kiss.
I decided not to rush things and have them woohoo right away, so Dia said goodbye to Brian.
And spent the rest of the night working on her mixology skill.
And hanging out with the dogs.
Friday
On Friday morning, Dia gave the dogs a bath.
Dia then went out collecting. She also taught the dogs to pee outside.
Dia grabbed a bite to eat at one of the food stalls.
I added a maker space to the Spice District (downloaded from the gallery) and sent Dia to check it out. I thought juice fizzing and nectar would be good side skills for our Mixologist. Dia started out making some apple juice and acquired the juice fizzing skill.
Then she squashed some grapes and made her first bottle of nectar. She also acquired the nectar making skill.
Dia then went to work where she was presented with the above scenario. Her cash register was short and Dia knew it wasn't her fault. She decided to report her co-worker which gave her a performance gain but also upset her co-worker.
Saturday
Dia came home from work with a promotion to Line Cook.
Dia spent some time playing with the dogs before going to bed.
When Dia woke up (close to noon) she made brunch.
Dia then worked on her Mixology skill until Jesminder stopped by. Apparently there is a drink that came with Eco Lifestyle called a "Dyed Cocktail" that turns your sims skin a variety of colors.
Later, Brian called and invited Dia to the Romance Festival. He gave her a rose.
They shared a kiss which was the last step in level 3 of the City Living Aspiration.
That means Dia is on the file milestone of her aspiration. She just needs to max singing, win a contest at GeekCon, and live in an apartment worth $100,000. This step might take awhile.
Dia and Brian got some Sakura punch.
Once again the Romance Guru came over to Dia and said, "Though temptation abounds, you must wait many moons for your destined love." I just love how well this is fitting with the challenge because per the rules, Dia can have a child (or children) but can't find her soulmate and get married until she is an elder.
For some reason, Dia and Brian couldn't sing a duet but she did entertain him with her singing. Brian seemed to enjoy her performance. She still makes my ears bleed.
After the festival, Dia invited Brian over to the house and they had their first woohoo in the shower.
Week two comes to and end with Dia staring at the results of a positive pregnancy test.
Up next we will be returning the the Cole Lexion and the Get Collecting Challenge.
